Una Mujer Rica que No Desea Casarse

Pregunta: Una hermana no quiere casarse ya que es lo suficientemente rica como para vivir por su cuenta o con una sirvienta; su hermano es su mahram si ella desea viajar. ¿Está ella cometiendo un pecado al rechazar casarse?

Respuesta: Un grupo de hombres vinieron al Profeta صلى الله عليه وسلم uno de ellos dijo, "No dormiré durante la noche." [es decir, el realizaría tahajjud]. El segundo dijo, "Ayunaré y no romperé mi ayuno." El tecero dijo, "No comeré carne." Y el cuarto dijo, "Nunca me casaré con ninguna mujer." El Mensajero de Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم fue a ellos y les dijo, "Yo ayuno pero rompo mi ayuno, duermo y me despierto a rezar, y yo como carne y me caso con las mujeres. Así que aquel que no sigue mi Sunnah (tradición en la religión), no es de los míos (no es de mis seguidores)." El matrimonio es una Sunnah de la Sunnah de esta Shari'ah. Si la mujer abandona intencionalmente el matrimonio entonces ella ha abandonado la sunnah del Mensajero صلى الله عليه وسلم

Question: A sister does not want to get married as she is wealthy enough to live on her own or with a girl servant; her brother is her mahram should she wish to travel. Is she sinning by refusing to get married?

Answer: A group of men came to the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. One of them said, "I will not sleep at night." i.e. he would perform tahajjud. The second said, "I will fast and will not break my fast." The third said, "I will not eat meat." And the fourth said, "I will not ever marry women." Allaah's Apostle came to them and said, "I fast and break my fast, I sleep and I awake and pray, and I eat meat and I marry women. So whoever does not follow my Sunnah (tradition in religion), is not from me (not one of my followers)."‏ Marriage is a sunnah from the Sunnan of this Sharee`ah. If the woman intentionally leaves off marriage she has abandoned the Sunnah of the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم.
